Hello, so it has been 5 months since I’ve updated because … I was damn lazy lah, cus if i have to update need to continue with the Hanoi Days ma, SO I WAS DREADING THIS (a lot photos need to filter out very mafan zzz).
Okay so now that the trip had ended (for 5 months rofl), i could say that i had really enjoyed the trip and i also enjoyed sleeping alone in that huge room with that huge bed heheh.
Alright so for this post, it would be on the days at our attached kindergarten –
Hoa Thuy Tien Kindergarten
So for the 11 days at Hanoi, we spent a total of 6 full days at the Hoa Thuy Tien Kindergarten (HTT). HTT is a kindergarten which caters to probably children from families with lower socio-economic status. As compared to the 2 other kindergartens which we had been to (on other days), HTT is undeniably the less developed one.
However, spending every day there for 6 days were really an eyeopener for me, i had learnt plenty of stuff AND i really felt loved by the teachers and staff over there. AND DID I MENTION THAT THE FOOD THERE WAS SO AWESOME?! LIKE FREAK MAN I THINK I GAINED LIKE 5KG AFTER THE TRIP CUS I WAS EATING AT LEAST 3 BOWLS OF RICE AT EVERY MEAL I AINT EVEN KIDDIN.
So basically at HTT, we were supposed to assess the learning corners of the classrooms which we were attached to (1 pair per classroom) and ways to improve on them, especially the literacy area. The objective was to improve the English literacy aspects for HTT. Other than this, we also have to conduct a teachers’ workshop for the staff at HTT on literacy.
So ma fan right. i know.
However, all the stress levels and annoyance disappeared IMMEDIATELY when we were welcomed to the school. I had no idea what the hell the staff at HTT were thinking because we were just some kids from NP AND WE CERTAINLY DO NOT DESERVE SUCH GRAND WELCOMING FROM THEM. Almost all of the people, PEOPLE including kids, were in red and white. Why? CUS SINGAPORE FLAG RED AND WHITE. Ohmygod. And the banners and decorations placed around the Kindergarten were just … wow. And the teachers and kids were just so loving and nice.
We were basically superstars.
After all the wowz and boomz moments and photo taking sessions, Megan and I walked up to our classroom, escorted by the kids and teachers hahaha.
Anyway here are the (influx of) photos!
Ok i think that’s it for the days at HTT.
Actually got a lot of stuff which happened but i aint gonna share it wahhahaha.
K bye, gonna upload another post on the rest of the days soon ahhaha.
